Table
This table is designed around a variation on the traditional wedged mortise and tenon joint. Each leg is constructed from four pieces of oak with a square cross section. The pieces are held together near the bottom with pins, which also keep them separated by approximately 6mm. Because each of the four pieces can pivot independently, they can be easily fitted into the tabletop's cutout, which matches the combined outside dimension of the four leg pieces plus their spacing.
Walnut wedges are then inserted from the top, which separate the legs until they are firmly secured in place.
